The X Factor 2015: Olly Murs' major gaffe overshadows Max Stone and Monica Michael's exit
Olly Murs got muddled as Max Stone and Monica Michael got The X Factor boot tonight
MAX STONE was the first casualty of The X Factor this evening, however there was some confusion as to who else was leaving judging by Olly Murs' reaction.

The contestant received the fewest votes from the public after a staggering 2.5 million were cast, while Monica Michael and Anton Stephans found themselves in the sing off.
As the pair's fate was announced, host Olly accidentally told Monica she was leaving despite the judges votes having actually sent the result to deadlock.

Fans took to Twitter to talk about the presenter's embarrassing mistake and branded the episode a "shambles", after it was revealed that it would in fact be Monica who was going home.
One wrote: "Think this needs to be the last series of X Factor. Love Olly and Caz but its a shambles."

Others added: "Olly Murs isn't a natural TV presenter like Dermot. It shows," and: "Caroline and Olly, I suggest switching over to #ImaCelebrity for some tips."
Another person quipped: "XFactor back next week - when Olly Murs will give the deadlock vote out before the acts sing."
Prior to Olly's mistake, Simon Cowell had gushed about his contestant Max ,who received the fewest votes from the public.
"Max has been a gentleman, he's been very cool and I've really got to like him. You have a hell of a voice," the 56-year-old said.

Max added: "I feel really lucky to have come this far. I think it might have been my song choice, I should have shown my voice more. It's been a fun journey.
The contestant had been the favourite to leave followed by Mason Noise, who survived another week.
Meanwhile, Che Chesterman has been cut from 11/4 to 2/1 to win the show after blowing away the judges last night, although Louisa is the 5/4 favourite to win.
The X Factor continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
