Steve McClaren feels for Newcastle fans after Leicester defeat
STEVE MCCLAREN has labeled today's 3-0 defeat to Leicester as Newcastle's 'worst performance of the season'.

Jamie Vardy, who scored for a 10th successive league game, put the Foxes in front before half-time, with Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki securing the win in the second half.
McClaren was full of praise for Claudio Ranieri's men, but knows his side must improve for the sake of the fans, who saw Leicester's third goal as a signal to leave the ground.

He said on the home defeat: “That was the worst performance we have had this season and it is very disappointing.
"I understand the frustration of the fans and we will get back on the training field on Monday to get consistency back in our results. That was nowhere near good enough.

“I can give nothing but praise to Leicester. That is as good a team performance against us. They were hardworking, pressed and we couldn’t handle the intensity.
“On the counter, they are very quick and sharp. Today is an opportunity we haven’t taken. There is still a long way to go before we get any consistency.”
