And now it seems a new game-breaking bug may have been spotted after a relatively glitch-free launch.
The rise of the immortal player has been seen on both Xbox One and PS4, rendering players in the game invincible from harm.
Fans have been left to watch other rack up incredible kill counts in just ten minutes with no one able to stop them.
One fan discussed online how the glitch had affected his game, insisting there was no cheating involved: "Had this happen to me."Somehow turned invincible after my 12th death during a multiplayer match and ended up going 55-12."I saw the laser shots hitting me but I didn't take any damage. Next game was back to normal."Some players have reported that their game started to perform like this after they crashed a ship in the game, although no known cause has been confirmed as of yet.The PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One release of Star Wars Battlefront started on November 17 in select countries and rolled out globally through November 20.EA CFO Blake Jorgensen spoke ahead of Battlefront's release on subject of microtransactions and sales strategy, revealing: "What we want to do is give the consumer a great value for their money and keep them deeply engaged in something they love to do."I do think there's a bit of consumer fatigue around feeling like they're getting nickle and dimed all the time. And a lot of mobile games don't allow you to have fun unless you've paid for it."So we're looking at new models of ways to try to alleviate some of that fatigue that's going on."
