LUKE SHAW has stepped up his recovery following his horror leg break.

The Manchester United defender was seen walking around without his crutches this week at the club’s Christmas party.
And today United posted a pic of him in training as he bids to return to fitness.
Shaw was injured in United’s Champions League clash with PSV after a horror tackle for Hector Moreno in the first half.

Shaw was forced to stay in Holland for treatment when the rest of the squad travelled home.
He was expected to miss the full season, but these latest snaps will offer United, and Shaw, hope that he could return at some point before the end of the campaign.
Louis van Gaal has been tight-lipped on a timescale in recent weeks after initially saying he would miss at least six months of action.

"Luke is progressing well and is doing as well as we could have hoped at this stage," Van Gaal said in the programme notes for Tuesday’s clash with CSKA Moscow.
"We are not putting any timings on his recovery or a return, as it is important we allow nature to take its course.
"Luke is working hard during his recuperation to keep his body in the best possible condition.
"He is receiving plenty of messages of encouragement from supporters, which I know he appreciates."
