West Ham boss Slaven Bilic admits he cannot replace Dimitri Payet
WEST HAM boss Slaven Bilic admits he cannot replace French star Dimitri Payet.
 
 earlier this month And Bilic is unsure how his Hammers will cope without him.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash at Tottenham, Bilic said: “You don’t have to be West Ham manager to say he is really important. Dimitri Payet is our best player.
 
“His impact on not only us but the Premier is huge. He is very important in terms of scoring goals, assets or keeping the ball. 
“We are going to miss him. It was simply a very bad tackle. He is irreplaceable. 
“That is why he is Payet, he is one of those players making the team better 50 per cent. It is a question mark to me to see how we will look without him.”
 
West Ham do have Diafra Sakho back this weekend but Bilic knows his men need to raise their game to cope with Payet’s absence.
He said: “We have a lot of quality players and the players have to step up and do more for us to feel his absence less than huge. 
“It is a big blow. It’ll be nine, 10 or 12 weeks. I have spoken to him a few times and he is a very strong character.”
