FORMER American sports agent Jeff Moorad is looking to invest in Tottenham to help fund their new stadium, according to reports.
Moorad was part of the inspiration behind Tom Cruise's character in the Oscar-winning film, Jerry Maguire.
And The Daily Telegraph claim he could be ready to show Spurs the money as chairman Daniel Levy needs investors.
The report claims the club are yet to confirm whether or not a meeting had already taken place.
However, Levy is actively looking for investors to finance a new ground which could end up costing £400million.
Levy is looking to raise £150m for naming rights and is open o the idea of hosting NFL games in the future.
Moorad owned a stake in Major League Baseball clubs, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Sam Diego Padres.
The 60-year-old is said to lack the financial muscle to finance takeover but wants to find some way of investing.
In a statement released last year, the club said: "This substantial construction project requires discussions with multiple providers of finance so that the optimum financing package can be achieved."
Moorad could fit the bill after amassing his fortune as one of the leading sports agents in America.
With partner Leigh Steinburg, who also inspired the film, the pair are reported to have negotiated over £3billion in athletes' contracts.
Since then, Moorad founded a private investment company in 2013, that invests in and manages sports-related businesses.
