Denis Cheryshev does not regret Real Madrid stay |
REAL MADRID winger Denis Cheryshev says he does not regret his decision to remain at the Bernabeu in the summer, despite his lack of game time.
The Russia international was heavily linked with a move away after his impressive loan spell at Villarreal last term.
Premier League pair Arsenal and Liverpool were both interested in landing the him and reportedly prepared to pay £15million for his services.
Cheryshev, who scored seven goals and set up 10 during his spell at Estadio El Madrigal, instead opted to remain at Real to fight for his place.
And despite only playing 35 minutes of La Liga action under Rafa Benitez during this term, the 24-year-old has no regrets over his decision to stay.

“Everything you do is for the best. That's what happened and I have nothing to regret,” he is quoted as saying in Marca.
“I'm in good spirits. Of course, you want to play more, but it's not an easy situation. You need to stay strong and keep your chin up.”
