Peter Schmeichel: I fear Pep Guardiola becoming Manchester United's next manager
Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel reckons Pep Guardiola would ruin the club if he joined
PETER SCHMEICHEL insists he is fearful of Pep Guardiola becoming the next Manchester United manager.

The legendary shot-stopper believes someone like Guardiola would damage United's famous playing style because he would assert his own philosophy - much like Louis van Gaal has done.
after a run of three consecutive goalless draws followed by a narrow 1-0 win against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League last night.

However, when asked if Guardiola would be better suited to the United job than Van Gaal, the Dane said he wouldn't want to see the Bayern coach at Old Trafford.
"This is my biggest fear that someone like Pep Guardiola will become the next Manchester United manager," he told Sky Sports

"Guardiola has a way of playing, he has a system and he sticks to that. He has changed Bayern Munich from what I thought was a fantastic treble-winning team under Jupp Heynckes.
"[They played] quick football, through the middle, using the width of the pitch, but they were passing the ball and killing everyone they played against.
"He started to make them pass the ball sideways and I don't think they are as exciting as what they were."
