MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to rival Chelsea for Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli, according to reports.
 
It emerged yesterday that as a replacement for Eden Hazard if he leaves Stamford Bridge.
However, United manager Louis van Gaal wants to add pace to his squad in January and Feghouli appears fit the bill.
His contract expires at the end of the season and he might be available for a reduced fee in the upcoming transfer window.
 
Alternatively, the 25-year-old is free to talk to any potential suitors in January prior to a fee transfer in the summer.
Italian publication Calciomercato claim United might be able to tie up a deal for around £2million.
However, while Premier League clubs might want him, they could face competition from Serie A, with Inter Milan also understood to be keen on him.

Feghouli has emerged as one of the most sough-after attackers in Europe after a superb last season in Spain.
He scored six goals in 33 La Liga appearances.
In just over five years at the club, Feghouli has played 172 games in all competitions, finding the net on 27 occasions.
