Man City set for tug of war with Roberto Mancini's Inter to sign Andrea Pirlo on loan
Andrea Pirlo has been linked with a move to the Premier League
MANCHESTER CITY and Roberto Mancini's Inter Milan are battling to sign midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo from New York City FC, according to reports in Italy.

The 36-year-old Italian international midfielder left Juventus to join up with Frank Lampard and David Villa in New York City last year - a club part owned by the Premier League leaders.
But it is believed that Pirlo is now considering returning to European football on loan in a bid to boost his hopes of playing in Euro 2016.

This has put Manuel Pellegrini, who had Lampard on loan from the MLS side last season, and former City boss Roberto Mancini on alert.
And it is believed that Mancini has called Pirlo to try and convince him to return to Europe after failing to tempt him to City when he was manager, claim Sport Mediaset
