ROBERTO FIRMINO believes the right decision was made to sack Brendan Rodgers.
The Northern Irishman left Anfield last month after three years and four months at the club and spending nearly £300million on signings.
Rodgers was replaced by Jurgen Klopp and the German has made a steady start, winning three of his seven games in charge.
And Firmino, who was signed in the summer for £29m, reckons poor results led to Rodgers' downfall.
He told Sky Sports’ Barclays Premier League Weekly: "It was a short period [under Rodgers] but I considered him a great manager but I didn’t get much playing time under him.
"When results don’t come along, it is a must to switch managers.
"I think Klopp has the typical Germany mentality, which I am used to as I played for four years in Germany.
"I do like his German methods, he concentrates and focuses on what he wants. I think he will help us. We are already getting what he wants from us.
"He brings good vibes, we are on a positive path and we are always aiming high."
