A delighted Martin Skrtel who completed the shock 4-1 rout against title chasing Manchester City confessed: “I wouldn’t mind playing them every week.”

 

The Liverpool defender’s thumping goal was his fourth against a chastened Manchester City.

“This was a massive result,” he added.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini dubbed the defeat the worst during his City reign stating: “I am more than very angry.

 

"It was a complete disaster. It was an unbelievable performance. It’s hard to understand how we played so badly.

“I’ve never seen this team play like we have tonight. I was not happy with the performance of all 11 players.”
