INTER MILAN striker Mauro Icardi has ended speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have reportedly set their sights on the Argentina international as a replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck.
The England international has been out of action with a knee injury he picked up in April and went under the knife in early September.
Arsene Wenger has since been on the hunt for another striker ahead of the January window and has been heavily linked with a £32million move for Icardi.
But the 22-year-old, who only joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2013, insists he has no desire to leave the San Siro before the end of the season.
In response to the interest coming from north London, Icardi told Mediaset Premium: "I stay here this season as I did the last one.
"I'm also the captain and I can't leave a team which is doing good things."
