The Nintendo NX could see the return of major developers
Electronic Arts say they are ready to evaluate their relationship Nintendo and whatever platform opportunities that are set to be offered through the Nintendo NX update.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson failed to confirm any plans to support Nintendo's new project but alluded strongly to supporting core digital platforms.
Speaking during an earnings presentation, Wilson gave more details on how EA may look to work with Nintendo in the future after being asked if they were planning to support the NX.
"As we look to the future, we see a world where more people are playing on more platforms in more geographies than ever before," he said.
"We see the platform cycle now not just as a traditional six-year console cycle, but as kind of a six-month refresh rate on mobile devices, smart TVs, Internet-enabled refrigerators, or whatever it might be.
"As it relates to Nintendo, we've had a tremendous relationship with them over the years, and we will evaluate any and all opportunities with them in the same way we do all platform opportunities."

It appears that Niantic intend to use special tools in upcoming title Ppkemon Go to help attract Pokemon to certain areas.
Sweet Honey was shown in the trailer as a usable item, while a range of Pokemon balls were also seen being chosen between.
Honey has been used in previous games to attract Pokemon after being applied to special, golden-colored trees.
It would mean an added layer of gameplay, allowing players to setup traps to lure the kind of Pokemon they hope to catch.
Niantic recently revealed their feelings on the huge investment they had seen from Nintendo, The Pokemon Company and Google to be used to develop Pokemon Go and their overall gaming strategy.
"We are hard at work in our new San Francisco and satellite offices preparing for a series of massive, global Ingress events this Fall, readying Pokémon GO for launch next year, and extending our platform to support a variety of experiences that support our core values of exercise, discovery, and fun," Niantic founder John Hanke wrote.
