Remi Garde (pictured) faces a tough job as Aston Villa boss |
REMI GARDE can help Aston Villa beat the drop.
That is the opinion of former Villa star Thomas Hitzlsperger.
Garde watched his new charges in the stands on Monday night as they lost 3-1 to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
The former Lyon boss has 28 games to save the Midlands outfit from relegation.
Hitzlsperger, speaking exclusively to 888sport.com following Rémi Garde’s appointment as Villa’s manager, thinks the new man can save his old club.
“There are 28 games left and the benefit is that he’s signed for a club who know they’re already in a relegation battle, whereas there’ll be other teams who are comfortable now who might get dragged into it towards the end,” Hitzlsperger said.

“He knows what the mission is, which is an advantage. It will be a hard fight but I have hope.”
