Fallout 4 update: Bethesda warn fans to back up their save games before heading to beta
The new Fallout 4 update from Bethesda seeks to improve the game on PC
FALLOUT 4 developers Bethesda has warned fans to make sure they back up their save file before checking out any post-beta action.

Fallout 4 saw its first patch released from Bethesda this week, which looks to fix bugs and add new features.
The new update is very much a work-in-progress and is currently only available to fans who opted into receiving beta content.
However, the studio have warned fans that they should take every precaution when handling the new data, which is yet to get the seal of approval for further release for a Fallout 4 update on Xbox One or PS4.
It was revealed earlier in November that Bethesda planned to release small updates for the game that would aim to fix some of the game's worst glitches and would arrive on PC first.

Battling monsters on Fallout 4 could become a lot easier following Bethesda's newly planned updates

Fallout 4 update 1.2.33 includes two new features that allows for numberpad remapping, while the developers have also targeted general memory and stability improvements.
Bethesda released the full patch notes and asked for feedback but also warned: "This beta update is a work in progress so before opting into the beta, back up your saved games."
New Features
  • Number pad keys can now be used for remapping
  • Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container
Fixes
  • General memory and stability improvements
  • Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing Reunions
  • Fixed issue with When Freedom Calls where the quest would not complete
  • During Confidence Man, fixed issue where player's health would continuously regenerate
  • Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved games
  • Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly

One bug that has apparently been worked out for some is the Monsignor Plaza bug that sent players straight back to desktop any time they tried to explore the area.
It appears that although the bug wasn't named on the list for the update, other changes made may have improved the stability of the game enough for some not to be affected by it anymore.
A Bethesda support team member told fans: "Glad to hear it's resolving the issue for you. Thanks for posting! We'd definitely like to hear from others that experienced this issue at launch to see if the issue is now resolved for you."
