A DAMIAN REEVES strike just after half-time secured National League ALTRINCHAM their place in the second round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2001 at the expense of League One BARNSLEY.
 
Jake Moult had come close to giving the hosts the lead before Reeves struck the winner early in the second half.
EASTLEIGH, also from the National League, won at League One basement dwellers CREWE, who had goalkeeper Ben Garratt sent off after 62 minutes.
Thirteen minutes later, Ben Strevens kept his head from the penalty spot to send his side into round two.
 
FOREST GREEN will be joining them after disposing of League Two AFC WIMBLEDON 2-1 thanks to a last-minute winner from Elliott Frear.Darren Carter had given the National League outfit a dream start with a goal after six minutes but the hosts hit back after 24 minutes through Callum Kennedy.
The goalscoring honours on the day went to Macauley Bonne of League One COLCHESTER, who netted four in their 6-2 victory at National League South WEALDSTONE.
The hosts briefly took the lead in the first half through Bradley Hudson Odoi, after Jefferson Louis had netted a leveller following Bonne's opener.

The other Colchester scorers were George Moncur and Marvin Sordell late on.
BURY emphasised just how far WIGAN have fallen from grace following their 2013 FA Cup triumph when they beat the Latics 4-0 in an all-Lancashire clash. The result was never in doubt once Tom Pope had given the hosts a 17th-minute lead and the Shakers added to their tally through Danny Mayor, Nathan Cameron and Leon Clarke.
Another Lancashire side to advance were ACCRINGTON, who defeated YORK 3-2.

Wealdstone took the lead, but ran out 6-2 losers to Colchester United
Sean McConville opened the scoring for the home side after 29 minutes but Vadaine Oliver equalised for the Minstermen four minutes later. Matt Crooks restored Stanley's lead and Josh Windass netted a third before a late strike from York's Martin Coulson.
Two goals in six first-half minutes from Tom Champion and Michael Gash gave League Two BARNET a 2-0 victory at the expense of their League One opponents BLACKPOOL, whose neighbours FLEETWOOD went down by the same score at WALSALL.
