LIVERPOOL striker Daniel Sturridge is out of tonight’s Europa League tie with Bordeaux with a foot injury.
Sturridge’s fitness problems have flared yet again, just as manager Jurgen Klopp was hoping to have him back in the fold.
The forward trained at Melwood yesterday as normal, but he has now reported a problem with his foot.
He had been unlikely to start against Bordeaux with Christian Benteke set to be preferred.
Sturridge has yet to make an appearance under Klopp having suffered a knee injury in the build up to his first game in charge against Tottenham at the start of last month.
He has also only made seven Premier League since October 2014 due to a variety of problems, which led to him undergoing hip surgery at the end of last term.
Liverpool need a win tonight at Anfield to reach the last 32 of the competition.
Sturridge was not with the Liverpool squad when it arrived at Anfield at 6.40pm.
