DUNCAN WATMORE has signed a new long-term deal at Sunderland.
The England Under-21 international has enjoyed a run of six senior appearances for the Black Cats this season, scoring once in the Premier League and another in the League Cup.
And now the 21-year-old winger has committed his future at the club until the summer of 2020, having joined from Altrincham two years ago.
Manager Sam Allardyce said on the deal: “Duncan is an exciting prospect and the kind of talent you want to see coming through at your club.
"He is a bright young man, he has a sensible head on his shoulders and if he continues to make the kind of progress we have seen, I am sure that he has a great future ahead of him.”
