Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was unable to play a match for Manchester United |
YOUNG goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has left Manchester United after failing to obtain a work permit.
The Serbian under-20 World Cup winner signed a five-year contract with United in 2014 from FK Vojvodina and remained with the club on loan until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
And in August, Milinkovic-Savic expressed his wish to go out on loan again but he failed to find a club.
His deal with United has now been terminated and he has joined Polish side Lechia Gdansk.
Milinkovic-Savic said: "The case dragged on, unfortunately. I couldn’t find a club where I could be loaned to.
"I decided to terminate the contract with Manchester United.
"I am glad that I was able to come to an agreement with Lechia."
