Jose Mourinho has slammed the state of the pitch which could see John Terry miss Chelsea’s Premier League game against Tottenham on Sunday.
The Blues thrashed Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 last night in their penultimate Champions League group game.
But Mourinho was unimpressed with the ‘dangerous’ pitch that caused Terry to be forced off on stretcher with an ankle injury.
“The surface was bad and dangerous," Mourinho said.
"For John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he is in trouble."
Mourinho and Diego Costa were involved in an angry exchange during the win over Tel Aviv.
The Portuguese tactician, according to the Daily Mail, was unimpressed with Costa for failing to support Eden Hazard during an attack.
But after a bust-up at half-time, Mourinho claims all is forgiven with the Spanish striker.
He said: “I was disappointed and I reacted. He did too. At half-time in the dressing room, a few kisses and a few cuddles. No problem.”
Chelsea are reportedly confident of landing Saido Berahino in January.
The West Brom striker was heavily linked to Tottenham in the summer and even threatened to go on strike to force through a move.
Manchester United are on the lookout for a striker, but ESPN claim Chelsea are set to win the race for the 22-year-old.
