CHELSEA are plotting a January bid to sign Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, confirms the player's agent.
The 18-year-old midfielder is believed to be attracting a 'strong interest' from the Blues, and it seems as if Jose Mourinho and the club's representatives have stepped up their efforts to sign the Guinea born ace after sending scouts to watch him play on several occasions, reports Gazetta dello Sport.
Chelsea have had a disastrous start to the Premier League season securing just 14 points from their last 13 matches, and despite Mourinho claiming he will not ask Roman Abramovich for January funds, it seems as if Diawara could be on his way to the England.
And the midfielder's agent, Robert Visan, has confirmed that Chelsea are interested in signing his client despite insisting that his loyalty lies with Bolgona in the Serie A.
"There is a strong interest of Chelsea," Visan told Tutto Mercato Web.
"I work with Pini Zahavi, who everyone knows, but that does not mean that will he will go to Chelsea.
"Also the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham and Juventus follow him [but] with them I never speak of offers, only football.
"But now, I repeat, he is indebted to Bologna."
