Chelsea are expecting to beat Man United and Tottenham to Saido Berahino
CHELSEA are confident of beating Tottenham and Manchester United to Saido Berahino in January, according to reports.

Berahino was the subject of interest from Spurs in the summer but West Brom rejected their approaches.
Berahino handed in a transfer request and threatened to go on strike on Twitter.
The 22-year-old caved and returned to Tony Pulis' side after a break and has since scored three times in 11 appearances.

He was offered a new deal in September but is yet to sign it and is expected to draw more attention when the transfer window reopens.
Chelsea are hopeful of adding to their attacking options with Diego Costa struggling to recapture last year's form and both Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy struggling with fitness.
Jose Mourinho last week insisted he would not ask for more players in January but conceded he would take them if the club wanted to make moves.

And ESPN today report that Chelsea are confident of beating Spurs and United to Berahino.
United's interest is mainly speculative having snapped up Anthony Martial in the summer and using Memphis Depay as an auxiliary striker to good effect this weekend.
But Louis Van Gaal does want to add pace to his side and the England under-21 star would offer that.

Berahino has scored three times this season for West Brom
Tottenham failed to sign a back up for Harry Kane and have started the season strongly with a core of young English players.
Mauricio Pochettino refused to be drawn into the Berahino case publicly in the summer but the club made a statement on their interest insisting they had acted in the correct manor.
West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace had claimed Tottenham had unsettled their player and said they would refuse all offers.

However with the contract offer still not signed they may be tempted to cash in in January.
West Brom sit 12th after 13 games and Berahino is the club's joint top scorer - with James Morrison and Salomon Rondo - on three goals.
Rickie Lambert has scored just once.
