Roman Abramovich is yet to reach a decision on Jose Mourinho's future at Stamford Bridge |
Jose Mourinho has come under criticism in recent weeks for Chelsea's poor start to the season - their defeat against Liverpool on Saturday was the sixth of the Premier League campaign.
Owner Roman Abramovich is said still be deciding on Mourinho's future at the club while reports emerged that the Portuguese boss has lost the respect of his squad.
Brazilian duo Ramires and Oscar have both rubbished rumours of a mutiny towards the 52-year-old and now Mikel has also backed his boss.
John Obi Mikel believes Jose Mourinho is the right man for the job at Chelsea |
"There is no doubt about it. If anyone can turn this around I definitely think he is the one.
"Last year we were champions and won two trophies. Jose knows this club more than any other manager and he is the most successful manager in this club's history.
"If you say to the players that we are not giving 100 per cent then there is a doubt – but we are giving 100 per cent, we are playing for the manager and we are right behind him."
