Jose Mourinho is clinging on at Chelsea |
CHELSEA shouldn’t pull the trigger and sack Jose Mourinho.
That is the verdict of former Blues manager Roberto Di Matteo.
Di Matteo was in charge of the west London outfit when they won the Champions League in 2012 courtesy of a penalty shoot-out victory over Bayern Munich.
Mourinho meanwhile has come under mounting pressure after a dismal start to the campaign, which has seen Chelsea lose seven of their 12 Premier League games.
But Di Matteo is convinced Chelsea have the best manager in the world.
“I really hope Mourinho is going to stay long term, stability is so important for the club," Di Matteo said as quoted by The Independent.

“We have short memories but only four months ago we won the (league and League Cup) double.
"Chelsea have been so successful for the last 15 years and it can happen that you have a bad year but there is so much quality in the team and the club has one of the best managers in the world."
