Cesc Fabregas says Chelsea's season is f***ed |
The reigning Premier League champions currently languish 16th in the standings after losing seven of their 12 opening league matches.
Jose Mourinho’s men have also been knocked out of the Capital One Cup and face an uphill struggle to finish top of their Champions League group.
But Fabregas, who has been one of several key Chelsea players to come under heavy criticism this term, says the results haven’t truly reflected the performances.
Talking to Spanish publication Marca, he said: “This season is being f***ed.
“The results have not done justice to what we do [on the pitch]. We are doing things better, but we’ve had no luck… We have to start winning now.”
Fabregas was forced to deny reports earlier this month that he was organising a "mini-revolt" at Stamford Bridge and reiterated he was happy to work under Mourinho.
Cesc Fabregas has failed to replicate last season's title-winning form |
"Someone invented a story saying that I was leaking information from the changing room.
"I have dignity and I had to defend myself. My relationship with Mourinho is good, as always."
