ARSENAL are lining up a move for Porto's Ruben Neves.
That is according to The Sun, who claim Arsene Wenger is ready to make a bid for the 18-year-old in January after a number of scouting trips.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay £12million up front for the defensive midfielder, with an added £10m in bonuses.
Wenger is keen on signing a defensive midfielder when the transfer window reopens following injury to Francis Coquelin.
The Frenchman is set for three months on the sidelines after damaging his knee ligaments during the 2-1 defeat to West Brom earlier this month.
The Gunners face an uphill battle to land Neves as Premier League rivals Chelsea, West Ham and Liverpool continue to show an interest in his services.
Wenger revealed on his intentions to sign a midfielder in January: “We are in a position where we want to do something. If I find the right quality, I will do it.”
