Alexis Sanchez is set to sign a new deal at Arsenal |
Arsene Wenger has been handed a boost this morning by declaring Hector Bellerin fit to play against West Brom.
The Spanish full-back has missed the last two weeks through injury but will return on Saturday.
Arsenal face the Baggies at the Hawthorns but will still be without Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.
“I watched them against Man United and they looked a very well organised team which is absolutely - as always with Tony Pulis - fully committed,” he said.
“On top of that they are in a difficult situation a little bit in the Premier League and you expect what you always expect in the Premier League - a committed, physical, fast game and a game where we cannot afford to make any mistakes.
“I would even say that you don’t even look at the table any more because you know what you get. The difference between the teams has narrowed and today it is more about how much can you be close to your best which will decide the result, more than the team you play against.”
The Gunners are also set agree new deals with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil - who cost the club a combined £77million.
The duo have been in great form as Arsenal sit level on points with leaders Manchester City.
And the Daily Mirror report they are close to signing new deals to extend their stays with the clubs.
Harry Redknapp has had a pop at Arsenal for not signing Dele Alli.
The Spurs youngster put in an impressive performance on Tuesday night for England and Redknapp claims the other big boys missed a trick.
"As I’ve said before, my goalkeeping coach Kevin Hitchcock at QPR went to watch his son play at MK Dons last year and came back every week telling me Alli was an absolute genius," Redknapp wrote for the Evening Standard.
"He scored goals, made assists and was League One Player of the Year. Tottenham stole him for £5m.
"I never tried to sign him then because we were struggling all year and were just in for short-term fixes but it shames the recruitment networks at the top clubs — who could think further ahead — that they didn’t go in for him.
"Why didn’t Arsenal sign him? Don’t tell me Chelsea shouldn’t have bought him for £5m. What’s £5m to Manchester United, especially with the way they throw their money around now? Okay, Liverpool did show some interest but for, whatever reason, did not follow it through."
And Arsenal are considering a move for Italian defender Armando Izzo.
The 23-year-old signed for Genoa in 2014, and, according to Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX, the Gunners sent a scout to watch himy against Napoli earlier this month.
Benfica are also considering a move, however.
