SAMSUNG fans can now find out what the firm's latest smartwatch will look on their wrist – without leaving the house.

Samsung has launched a new mobile app which gives customers a sneak peek at the firm's new wearable.
The Gear S2 Experience smartphone app allows users to take a closer look at the hardware, software and even measure the two models against your wrist.
It's a clever way to try the firm's seventh smartwatch – especially since there are no dedicated Samsung retail stores.

Samsung describes the new smartphone app as "a hands-on feel, even when you cannot get your hands on a Gear S2 in real life."
"The Gear S2 Experience app is a great way to get a deeper sense of what Samsung’s latest wearable is all about," it reads.
"Nothing compares to the real thing, but the Gear S2 Experience app comes pretty close."

NewsNewsBlog.blogspot.com went hands-on with the Samsung Gear S2 earlier this summer at the IFA Berlin technology tradeshow.
"The Gear S2 – Samsung’s seventh smartwatch to go on sale since 2013 – is a beautiful device.
"The new wearable is compact, well-built and uses an innovative new input method – the bezel.
"Spinning the bezel around the 1.2inch circular display zooms, scrolls and navigates around the operating system.
"There are also two physical buttons, a Back and Home button, which sit on the right hand-side of the device, when it's worn on your left wrist.
"Using the Gear S2 feels very natural, like idly clicking around the bezel on a divers watch.

"The spinning bezel gives a satisfying click every time it's turned, which adds to the enjoyment of flying through menus, news articles and text conversations.
"Samsung’s new navigation tool is also a surprisingly fast way to move around the operating system.
"It's also much better than the touchscreen-focused solution currently used by the majority of Android Wear devices, including the disappointing LG Watch Urbane.
"But the bezel isn’t perfect.
"Even in our brief time with the device, we soon found the bezel could become a little fiddly when spinning though a long text conversation, or email chain.

The Samsung Gear S2 is a well-designed and robust little smartwatch
"This is because the bezel scrolls at a consistent speed – twisting it quickly with a flick of the wrist does not mean you can fly through a draw-out email conversation.
"Instead, longer navigation requires three or four full rotations, which became frustrating.
"However – given smartwatches are primarily designed for quick glances at notifications – it remains to be seen how much this will affect day-to-day use.
"Overall, navigating around the Samsung Gear S2 is fun. And that’s not something we have been able to say about South Korean firm’s previous smartwatches."
If you want to test out the app, the Gear S2 Experience is currently only available on the Galaxy App and Google Play Store.
