| Liverpool reportedly want to sign Gonzalo Higuain in January |
Chelsea are unlikely to make their loan deal for Radamel Falcao permanent, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Colombian international joined the Premier League champions on loan from Monaco after his disastrous temporary move to Manchester United last season.
However, Falcao once again has failed to make an impact in England scoring just once in eight appearances so far.
And while Chelsea had an agreement in place to sign the 29-year-old permanently next June, it appears the Blues are set to reject a full-time deal.
Liverpool are reportedly plotting a move to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
After the departure of Mario Balotelli, Liverpool lack firepower upfront and Brendan Rodgers is looking to bring in a striker in the January transfer window.
According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Higuain could be Liverpool's man.
However, the Reds may have to battle with Arsenal for Higuain's signature as he was repeatedly linked with the Gunners during the summer.
And finally, Arsenal are ready to hand Alexis Sanchez a new five-year, £130,000-a-week contract, according to the Daily Mirror.
Sanchez has proved his worth at Arsenal since joining the London club in a £29.8million move from Barcelona in 2014.
The Gunners front-man has netted 19 league goals in 42 appearances, and recently scored a hat-trick during Arsenal's 5-2 thumping of Leicester City last week.
And before Sunday's clash against Manchester United at the Emirates, a senior Arsenal source told the newspaper: “It would be no surprise if there was a new contract offer."
