SOUTHAMPTON midfielder Victor Wanyama is set to reject a contract extension in order to force a move to Tottenham in January, according reports.
Wanyama was repeatedly linked with a move to Tottenham during the summer, however Southampton refused to allow their star midfielder to leave the south coast.
The Kenya international didn't get his move, and he has since admitted he is fully focussed to progress at Southampton.
"I just don't want to remember that situation. Now I've forgotten what happened," he said.
"I'm now progressing at my club and it's been good, so I'm looking forward to putting in good performances."
However, The Sun claim Wanyama will try and force a move to London in January.
A source told the newspaper: “It’s not in Victor’s interests to sign an extension.
“He loved working with Mauricio and would still like the move to happen.”
