ANTONIO VALENCIA is a doubt for Manchester United's League Cup encounter with Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.

 

The winger was forced off towards the end of Sunday's goalless derby draw against Manchester City with a foot injury.

United are still without injured defenders Luke Shaw (leg) and Paddy McNair (liver) for the visit of the Championship side.

 

Ashley Young and James Wilson could return for Middlesbrough visit

But wideman Ashley Young (calf) and striker James Wilson (illness) are close to returning and could feature for the Red Devils.
