Samuel Umtiti opens door to Premier League move



LYON defender Samuel Umtiti has revealed he dreams of one day playing in the Premier League.

 

The France Under-21 international is a long-term target for Arsenal and was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer.

And now the young centre-half admits he would relish the chance to play in England in the future, as well as Spain.

 

But Umtiti insists he wants to continue his development at at Stade de Gerland for the time being

The 21-year-old said on his future plans: "I'm very ambitious, I have quite a few goals, but I've still got many things to learn with Lyon.

 

Samuel Umtiti has already made 147 senior appearances for Lyon

"Going abroad is a dream, there are very great clubs that you dream about. England? Everyone admires that league."

But the Frenchman admits he would also be open to La Liga, adding: "I would say I prefer the Spanish game, but to be honest, I don't have a real preference."
