Signed from Middlesbrough in a controversial transfer resulting in Liverpool being fined for an illegal approach, however he only lasted one season at Anfield.

SAMED YESIL (2012 - present, matches 2)
The Germany Under-21 international was prolific at youth team level for Bayer Leverkusen, but his career has not taken off at Liverpool due to two cruciate knee ligament injuries. He is currently out on loan with Swiss side Luzern.
EMRE CAN (2014 - present, matches 51, goals 1)
Signed as a midfielder but Brendan Rodgers deployed him mainly in defence as a third centre-back.
