Mauricio Pochettino: Tottenham know how to beat Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool

Mauricio Pochettino is confident he has all the information on Jurgen Klopp to beat him

MAURICIO POCHETTINO has revealed he’s been doing his homework on Jurgen Klopp ahead of Tottenham’s game against Liverpool.

 

Spurs take on Klopp’s new-look Reds on Saturday (12.45pm) and it will be the German’s first taste of Premier League action.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss was drafted in as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement last week and penned a three-year deal.

However, Pochettino admits the upheaval in management has not affected his preparation for the fixture.

And he believes he has the former Bundesliga coach sussed just as much as he has information pinned down on Spurs.

 

He said: “We can use the information [from Brendan Rodgers era] because in the last few months Liverpool played in different ways and changed the system from the beginning until Everton.

“And how we have analysed Dortmund and the way Klopp plays has some similar concepts because we have some reference.

“Maybe I give too much information but the first half that Liverpool played against Arsenal at the Emirates, Rodgers played in a similar style to Dortmund.

“And we have a lot of resources to help with the information but in the end the truth will be shown on Saturday - how they play and put in place his ideas.

“He for sure has all the information on Tottenham, but we have all the information about Klopp.”
