Manager discusses why Liverpool duo were dropped
Dunga says he wants every Brazil player to fight for their place in the squad
The pair have both been left out of the team that will face Argentina and Peru in November in the World Cup qualifiers.
Both had a difficult start to the season - Firmino with a back problem and Coutinho has struggled to find form.

And Dunga hopes a stint out of the international set-up will put a hunger in the players that didn't make the cut.
"You cannot leave an empty seat. If the guy comes in, sits down and plays well he will remain in the squad," he told reporters.
