Man Utd set to launch double swoop with bid for Saints star and Chelsea's Belgian target

Youri Tielemans is reported to be on Manchester United's radar

MANCHESTER UNITED are keeping tabs on Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans and Southampton's Sadio Mane with a view to making a move for the highly-rated pair, according to reports.

Anderlecht youngster Tielemans has been watched by United scouts, although they could face competition from Chelsea who are also said to be monitoring hiss progress.

The 18-year-old is equally comfortable in the holding role as he is going forward and caught the eye when he made his Champions League debut as a 16-year-old.

Manager Louis van Gaal is also reported to have instructed the Old Trafford board to sign Saints star Mane due to Memphis Depay's recent struggles.

The Dutchman has come in for criticism, while Mane has been in sparkling form since the close of the transfer window.

United launched a bid for him in the summer and it appeared to unsettle the out-of-sorts Senegal international.

However, his return to form was confirmed when he starred in the Saints' 3-1 win at Chelsea by scoring a goal and making another.
