Neymar is set to resume contract talks with Barcelona in January

Neymar is expected to resume talks over his Barcelona in January, according to reports.

The Brazilian superstar was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.

But according to Goal, Barca will hold off talks with Neymar until the winter window reopens.

It is thought the Catalan giants are looking to attract new sponsors - Botemania - a betting company that could hold the key to a deal being struck.

Neymar still has three years left to run on his present contract with Barca.

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says announcing he would retire in 2002 was his biggest mistake.

The Scot declared before the 2001/02 season finished that he would walk away from Old Trafford, but ended up leaving in 2013.

And he has credited his wife and three sons for persuading him to change his mind.
