Man City ace Sergio Aguero nearly missed out on five-goal bonanza against Newcastle
Sergio Aguero scored five as Manchester City beat Newcastle 6-1
MANCHESTER CITY boss Manuel Pellegrini revealed that star striker Sergio Aguero almost missed out on his five-goal bonanza against a numbed Newcastle United.

Pellegrini who took Aguero off shortly after the Argentinian had made Premier League history with the quickest five goal haul ever – completed in just 20 minutes and 27 seconds - explained: “He needed treatment at half-time.
“He got a kick on his hamstring in Germany in midweek so it was important to relax him because he was not 100 per cent comfortable.

“It’s always amazing when you see a player scoring five goals. It was also important because we were 1-0 down.”
City went on to win 6-1 after suffering two straight League losses with Aguero becoming the fifth player to reach the five goal Premier League landmark alongside Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe.

Pellegrini added: “We know with his quality and the way we play he will always score.”
