LIVERPOOL are reportedly hoping to appoint a new manager before their next Premier League game.
 
The Reds sacked Brendan Rodgers yesterday in the wake of their 1-1 derby draw against Everton.
News News Blog Sport understands the Reds are interested in hiring former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, but .
A statement from the club said that "the search for a new manager is under way".
 
However, according to Sky Sports, Liverpool won't rush in appointing a new boss.
They suggest that it is unclear which other managers will be approached over the vacancy.
 
But the club are thought to be keen to have a new person in the hot seat before they take on Tottenham on October 17.
It is also thought there are no immediate plans to appoint a caretaker.
