JUAN MATA is delighted by the role he is playing in the Manchester United team this season.
The Spain international has started the campaign brightly for United, netting four goals in 14 appearances in all competitions.
The 27-year-old believes it's all down to the freedom Louis van Gaal gives him, allowing him to cut in from the right side of midfield.
And he admits there's no better recipe for continued success than scoring lots of goals.
He said: "I used to be a striker, then I played as a No.10, then at Valencia I was a left winger and at Chelsea I was in midfield.
"I am very happy with where I'm playing right now. It doesn't matter where you play you have to try to help the team, but obviously the best feeling in football is to score goals."
The Red Devils currently sit third in the Premier League table, behind Arsenal and rivals Manchester City.
