James Milner believes Liverpool were unlucky not to get all three points

JAMES MILNER believes Liverpool were unfortunate not to beat Tottenham in Jurgen Klopp's first match in charge of the Anfield club.

Injuries meant Klopp gave Divock Origi his first league start up front, and he hit the bar with a first-half header.
Tottenham's best efforts saw substitute Clinton N'Jie and Harry Kane test Reds keeper Simon Mignolet.
Milner praised Klopp's influence in his first few days in charge and claimed Liverpool were unlucky not to get all three points.

He told BT Sport "Yeah I think so, first half we started really well, especially the first 25 minutes or so.
"On another day we could have won it.
"We equipped ourselves well. It’s a new manager coming in with new ideas. Overall this is a solid start."

Milner admitted Klopp has a rebuilding job at Liverpool and may take time before they can start challenging for trophies.
He added: "It’s a long, long process - obviously a new manager coming in, plenty of changes.
"The longer we’re together the better we’ll get.
"He’s tried to change a few things but obviously you can’t change too much too soon."
