Van Gaal and Wenger go head-to-head on Sunday |
ARSENAL will beat Manchester United on Sunday - if Arsene Wenger selects his best team according to Harry Redknapp.
Wenger received heavy criticism after he rested Petr Cech against Olympiakos and played David Ospina.
The Colombian was then guilty of making an awful mistake, dropping the ball beyond his line after misjudging a corner.
The Gunners went on to lose the match, their second of the group stages which leaves their Champions League qualification hopes in serious doubt.
Cech is expected to return against United, a game which Redknapp believes Arsenal must win.
He told the Evening Standard: "Manchester United’s visit on Sunday becomes a massive game.
"They have got to come out and beat United otherwise it will have been a truly terrible week for Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger came under fire from critics over his team selection against Olympiakos |
"They couldn’t have a better game. The crowd will put the disappointment behind them and be absolutely buzzing on Sunday.
"What you don’t want is a game against a team near the bottom who you are expected to beat because if it doesn’t go well, the crowd start moaning and the situation gets even worse.
"They will be bang up for it and I can see them bouncing back and beating United. As long as Arsene picks his best team."
