Red Dead news this week includes Redemption's absence from the PC platform |
Nintendo plan to release a new range of Amiibo, with a new listing appearing to confirm a release date for one of them.
The Shovel Knight amiibo from Yacht Club Games has been listed in North America with a January 8, 2016 release date, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on it.
The new Amiibo figure unlocks new ways to play the game, bringing two-player co-op to the Wii U, and will unlock additional challenges and customisation options across both the Wii U and 3DS.
A new round of restocks are also set to hit stateside, including some of the rarer figures.
Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Fox, Greninja and Shulk will return to shelves, with Nintendo confirming on Twitter: "Look who’s back! Little Mac, Greninja, Shulk, Lucario, Fox & Captain Falcon will be restocked @ select retailers soon."

That's according to Kris Roberts, the lead multiplayer designer of the project, who was also shocked that GTA 5 DID manage to get ported.
"I don't think there was ever an intention to have a PC version of Red Dead Redemption," Roberts said during a live Twitch event.
"I was actually super shocked that they did a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. Obviously in development, we were all PC-based and had it running for win32 clients for the entire development.
"But as far as the licensing for the consoles and stuff, it was pretty much always going to be a Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 title.
"To the best of my recollection, we never even seriously talked about optimising it for PC."
Rumours continue to circulate over a release of a Red Dead sequel that would service to cover event a decade before the events of Redemption.
According to fans who have spent their time pouring over the data included in it, Rockstar may be about to introduce new characters to the game.
Character coding has been spotted that suggests new people may be about to enter the world of Los Santos and Blaine County.
An example of this would be how characters are identified, Avi Schwartman is FMMC_PD_AVI, while new formats have been uncovered that don't corelate to any current person in-game, one new discovery is labeled FMMC_PD_FVG.
It's likely that this is connected to new content planned for GTA Online as Rockstar have distanced themselves with the idea of releasing impending story DLC for single-player in recent months.
