Mario Gotze insists he never wanted to leave Bayern Munich in the summer

MARIO GOTZE claims he never thought about leaving Bayern Munich this summer, despite attracting interest from the Premier League.
 
The German World Cup winner looked destined to leave the German champions after he vented his frustration at his lack of regular game time.
and were both linked with £50million bids for the 23-year-old attacker, but Bayern bosses urged him to fight for his place.
And when asked about the speculation surrounding him in the summer, he told German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung: "I never thought about moving.
"There may well have been other clubs interested in me but I had no interest in leaving Bayern. I feel very, very good here and I'm glad to be a Bayern player.

"I would love to be a face of FC Bayern. I've played a good part in the first two years and I want to play an even greater part."
Gotze signed for Bayern in 2013 from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund for £25m and has gone on to score 34 goals and set up 22 in all competitions.
