Ezequiel Lavezzi could be on the move in January |
Lavezzi has found himself a mooted target for Arsenal and Liverpool after struggling for game time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona saw Pedro leave in the summer, although the 28-year-old has failed to make his mark at Chelsea.
And according to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Lavezzi has told Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano he could fill the void left behind by Pedro.
The report suggests Barcelona are lining up a cut-price deal for Lavezzi for the January window as they seek to add more options to their squad.
Barcelona were unable to replace Pedro in the summer due to the transfer ban imposed by FIFA.
Reports last month suggested that Lavezzi would only leave the Parc des Princes if a ‘big offer’ came in for him.
