A top FIFA pick: Liverpool star forward ace closes in on top spot with Arsenal foe in TOTW

Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez looks set to appear in next week's FIFA 16 TOTW

LIVERPOOL'S Daniel Sturridge joins the likes of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez and Tottenham's Erik Lamela in making the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team of the Week top spot.

 

Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competitions from around the world for fans to challenge in FUT.

Alexis Sanchez had a hat-trick as Arsenal left King Power Stadium with a 2-5 victory over Leicester City last weekend, continuing his impressive form against Man Utd by scoring two goals to secure the win at the Emirates.

Meanwhile at Anfield, Daniel Sturridge had two goals as Liverpool held off Aston Villa 3-2, before seeing out a stalemate in the Merseyside derby today.

Robert Lewandowski was a scoring machine this past week and earned himself Hero status when he came in as a substitute and proceeded to score five goals in nine minutes as Bayern Munich defeated VfL Wolfsburg 5-1.

Then over the weekend, he scored two of his club’s three goals as they easily took care of Mainz 05 by the score of 3-0.

Tottenham's Lamela also make the FIFA TOTW, earning his spot after scoring and assisting a goal in the same Premier League game for the first time against Manchester City.

However, this week's FUT selection will probably only see Arsenal's Sanchez keep his spot following Arsenal's domination of United on Sunday.
