Under-fire Brendan Rodgers on collision course as boss and fans clash over Europa League
Brendan Rodgers was speaking to reporters before their Europa League clash with Bordeaux
BRENDAN RODGERS is on course to upset Liverpool fans who want to see the club take the Europa League seriously this season.

Rodgers has opted to leave six regular first-team players at home for tomorrow night's match in Bordeaux (6pm kick-off).
As the club arrived in France there was no sign of Christian Benteke, Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, James Milner, Lucas Leiva or Martin Skrtel.

But fans have stressed they want to see their side make a real go of it in Europe this time round.
Rodgers was criticised for playing a second-string side at Real Madrid in the Champions League last season.
Now numerous supported have expressed their concern via Twitter as a place in next season's Champions League is up for grabs for the winners of Europe's secondary competition.

However, Rodgers says he sees it more as a chance to look at players who are not normally part of the first team.
"It was my approach to this competition when we first came in, it’s a chance to play players who need games," he said.
"Back then we finished top of the group and the aim is to do the same again."
