Scotland's Kenny Miller knows how to overcome threat of Germany ahead of Euro 2016 clash
Scotland's Kenny Miller reckons his side has what it takes to overcome Germany
KENNY MILLER knows first hand what it feels like to enjoy success against Germany.

And he reckons Gordon Strachan’s men have what it takes to do the business tomorrow night.
The veteran striker, 35, famously got the better of legendary keeper Oliver Kahn in a Euro qualifier at Hampden back in 2003.
Scotland had to settle for a 1-1 draw on that occasion, but Miller believes the current crop of players can go one better in this crunch clash.
He said: “As a footballer you want to play against the best players in the world, and Germany had some of the best For a striker, coming up against some of their defenders and Oliver Kahn in goal, it was a fantastic game and great to get the goal.
“We were just a bit disappointed on the day that we didn’t win.
“At the moment, the manager has got the lads really believing and playing a style of football that suits the good players that we’ve got.
“We’ve always had good players but now we are really seeing the fruits of that. We are creating chances, scoring goals, and we’re always resilient and dogged defensively as well.
“It’s realistic that we can win any game, so there is no reason why we can’t get something against Germany.”
The Scots are renowned for raising their game against the so-called bigger nations, and Miller sees no reason why this game in front of a full house should be any different.
He added: “Like a lot of the games at Hampden, when the likes of Spain, France, Holland and Italy come, we have always risen to the occasion.
“When I think back over my time with the Scotland team, we always did well against the bigger nations at home.
“I still come back to the fact that we have always had good players.

“We’ve maybe not performed as well as we should have done consistently over a campaign but, come the big games, particularly at home, we were always more than a match for anybody.”
Scotland’s poor record in attempting to qualify for major finals since the 1998 World Cup has been well documented.
But Miller believes there is a chance the wait could soon be over.
The Rangers forward is excited by this group of players and reckons they might just have what it takes to secure a spot at Euro 2016.
He said: “At this stage everybody is just looking forward to the last games, where we have a real opportunity to make a major finals.
“Over the years, without making any excuses, we’ve always been up against it as a smaller nation and getting one, potentially, two top teams.
“This Euro campaign has opened it up a bit for the so-called smaller nations to have a chance.”
The opportunity to play in a major tournament with Scotland eluded Miller, who retired from international football in 2013.
For him, simply being able to represent his country was an honour, and while he admits to missing the buzz of being part of the national team, he’s happy to back Strachan’s men as a fan.
Miller said: “It’s disappointing I never made it, but I’m more than happy to see the team succeed and hopefully we do get there.
“I’ve said it ever since I stepped away from it – I miss it. There is no doubt about that.
“For me, going away with the national team was a highlight of the year. Pulling on that dark blue jersey was always an honour. I felt proud every time I did it.
“But I’m more than enjoying being a supporter at the moment.”
