Zlatan Ibrahimovic snubbed interest from AC Milan to stay at PSG |
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger only brought in £10million Petr Cech this summer despite being in the market for a striker.
The Frenchman was in Paris yesterday but declined to make a late deadline day move.
Reports claimed Paris Saint-Germain ace Ibrahimovic was available to Wenger, causing bookmakers to slash odds on the Swedish superstar moving to the Emirates.
But when asked if Arsenal tried to sign him he said: "No, so the interest that existed, I have not committed myself to.
"It is Mino [Raiola, Ibrahimovic's agent] who takes care of the pieces. When I give notice that I want something to happen I get involved. But this summer I have been resting up, I enjoyed the holiday, but I know that Milan were a bit desperate."
AC Milan did try to bring the 33-year-old back to the San Siro but Ibrahimovic wanted to stay at PSG.
"It was concrete from their side," he added.
"A lot of interest but I said from the beginning that I will stay with PSG. I like it, we have a good team, my family feel good and it's just positive with Paris and PSG. But they wanted, they wanted much."
